This mid sixties advert shows a Fender decal being applied to a Jazz bass. Despite the model depicted, this is really an advert for the Fender company rather than any individual model.

The irony of a black and white advert entitled ‘Full Color Sound’… in fact a full colour advert using this image was also used to publicise the ’67 US NAMM show and it clearly shows the tremendous wildwood stained back of the Fender Concert acoustic – something completely lost in this (unfortunately more widely used) monotone version
